Lead a specialized team in a dynamic animal health pharmacy environment focused on high-quality compounded preparations. This full-time, onsite role offers the opportunity to oversee and enhance compounding operations while ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.

Location:

  • Bakersfield, CA

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:15 AM–5:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of pharmacists to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Oversee daily compounding workflows to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards as well as State Board and federal regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive training records and enforce proper compounding procedures.
  • Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded products.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and recommend formulation improvements.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional departments to support organizational goals.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 2 years managing pharmacy laboratory personnel.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical compounding.
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A compounding requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus performance-based bonuses.
  • Eligibility for benefits.
