Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Los Angeles, California

A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor role is available in an animal health compounding pharmacy setting. The position requires onsite work in Bakersfield, CA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM. This role offers a base salary range of $160,000 to $185,000, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists focused on producing high-quality compounded preparations for animal health.
• Set and monitor productivity and quality standards for the compounding team.
• Oversee daily compounding operations and workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards as well as other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records and verify proper compounding procedures.
• Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounding formulations.
• Recommend process and formulation improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years managing pharmacy staff within a lab setting.
• 2 to 5 years compounding experience.
• Strong knowledge of USP compounding standards, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
