Pharmacist in Charge - Magalia, CA

An Interim Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) position is available for an immediate start in Magalia, CA. This contract opportunity spans approximately 12-13 weeks, offering a chance to lead pharmacy operations in a dynamic retail environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including direct communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
• Responsible for opening and closing the pharmacy each day.
• Assume full Pharmacist In Charge duties, including completion of all required documentation and regulatory paperwork.

Qualifications:

• A current, valid California pharmacist license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience; prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge is highly preferred.
• Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be active.
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system is desired.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage pharmacy operations and staff.
