An interim Pharmacist In Charge position is available for an immediate start in Magalia, CA, on a contract basis. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations within a dynamic retail environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Duration: Approximately 12-13 weeks beginning June 22
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Oversee opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy
- Fulfill Pharmacist In Charge duties, including accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience
- Prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge in a retail setting is highly preferred
- California Pharmacist License valid and current
- Immunization certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) card required
- Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage team and interact with patients and providers effectively
