A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available within a specialized Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role offers a one-year contract with the potential for extension or transition to direct hire, providing stability and growth potential within a focused healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
• 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• 20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing daily pharmacy operations.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews while ensuring precise and detailed documentation.
• Verify prescriptions to maintain patient safety.
• Fill prescriptions in the absence of pharmacy technicians.
• Prepare and complete internal pharmacy reports and forms utilizing Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Operate independently, particularly when technician support is unavailable.
• Engage with patients only upon request, with no billing or insurance processing duties.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history.
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience.
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
