Oversee the regulatory and operational leadership of a dynamic 503A compounding pharmacy with this contract to temp-perm opportunity based in Chandler, AZ. The role is integral to ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions during a critical facility move and decommissioning. This position requires a highly skilled Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) capable of maintaining strict adherence to Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations, FDA, DEA, and USP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and multiple other state licenses as required.
- Maintain active pharmacist licensure in Arizona and a range of additional states (AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX).
- Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy standards.
- Lead and represent the pharmacy during regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
- Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide staff training programs.
- Manage licensure, accreditation processes, and regulatory documentation.
- Submit mandatory reports related to theft/loss and maintain communications with the Board of Pharmacy regarding PIC changes and pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in Arizona plus additional states as listed.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience with a strong background in regulatory inspections.
- Familiarity with compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulatory requirements.
