This position is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge at a 50-bed rehab hospital in Jacksonville, FL, offering a rewarding opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a focused healthcare environment. The role is contract-based for 13 weeks with a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule, starting as soon as possible. This is an ideal position for a pharmacist licensed in Florida who is comfortable assuming PIC responsibilities and has some hospital experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee order verification processes ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
  • Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to provide expert pharmaceutical consultation
  • Maintain regulatory standards and support medication management within the facility

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Florida pharmacist license, current and in good standing
  • Experience within a hospital or rehab setting is highly preferred
  • Willingness to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge duties, not necessarily requiring an expert Director of Pharmacy background
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
