This contract role offers a chance to lead pharmacy operations in a supportive setting without the pressures of a high-profile Director of Pharmacy position. The focus is on managing pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) duties with a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including order verification
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Consult with nursing and physician staff to support patient care
- Maintain regulatory standards and pharmacy policies
- Provide leadership and ensure smooth workflow within the pharmacy team
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to take on PIC responsibilities without needing to be a “superstar” leader
