Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Morrison, Illinois

A retail pharmacist in charge position is available in Morrison, IL, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity with a 13-week assignment term. Candidates willing to work as travelers are encouraged to apply while local candidates are being sought.

Schedule & Hours:

• 1st shift, Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Supervise, train, and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and maintain pharmacy records.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related concerns and optimize patient care.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant workflow within the pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Illinois.
• Experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC).
• Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise software is preferred.
