Job Type Contract

A licensed Tennessee pharmacist is needed to serve as Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a healthcare-at-home, mail-order pharmacy operation. This primarily remote role offers a unique opportunity to provide expert regulatory and compliance support with minimal onsite presence. While the position guarantees 40 hours per week compensation, the actual time commitment is significantly less, making it an ideal consulting opportunity alongside another full-time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the designated Tennessee Pharmacist In Charge, supporting the out-of-state mail-order pharmacy license
  • Complete initial PIC documentation and Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements
  • Conduct quarterly on-site compliance inspections at a Nashville-area location (1 hour each, 4 hours/year total)
  • Review portable oxygen patient accounts to ensure annual prescription renewals are current
  • Verify proper storage and compliance of oxygen tanks during site inspections
  • Confirm business hours and licenses are properly posted and up-to-date
  • Complete company inspection checklists and report follow-up needs
  • Support additional regulatory and compliance duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Residency within Tennessee
  • Preferably 3+ years of pharmacist experience; less experienced candidates may be considered
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with ability to travel locally for quarterly inspections
  • Comfortable in a PIC role with regulatory and licensing responsibilities

Schedule & Location:

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed, with minimal actual time requirement
  • Remote work throughout Tennessee with quarterly site visits near Nashville
  • Contract duration: 13+ weeks, starting ASAP with a target by the end of October

This contract position offers competitive compensation with a flexible schedule suitable for pharmacists seeking a low time-commitment PIC role. Candidates ready to leverage their Tennessee licensure and compliance expertise are encouraged to apply.
