This role offers a unique opportunity for a Tennessee-licensed pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a mail-order pharmacy operating out of state, supporting licensing and compliance functions primarily through remote work. With a commitment of approximately 40 hours per week guaranteed, the actual workload is significantly less, making this an ideal position for pharmacists seeking steady compensation alongside a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities include acting as the designated Tennessee PIC to fulfill regulatory requirements, completing initial licensing and renewal documentation, and conducting quarterly on-site inspections at a Nashville-area location. These inspections involve verifying compliance measures such as proper storage of oxygen tanks, confirming prescription renewals for portable oxygen patients, and ensuring licenses and operational hours are correctly displayed. Additional regulatory support tasks may also be required as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
- Current residency within Tennessee
- Minimum of 3 years pharmacist experience preferred; less experienced candidates may be considered
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and ability to travel locally for quarterly visits
- Comfortable managing PIC responsibilities and regulatory paperwork
Work Schedule and Location:
- 40 hours per week guaranteed, though actual hours required will be significantly fewer
- Remote work arrangement within Tennessee
- Quarterly on-site inspections (approximately one hour each) at a Nashville-area facility
This contract role spans at least 13 weeks and offers a stable opportunity for pharmacists to engage in an important regulatory position with minimal onsite time. Candidates can maintain other full-time employment while fulfilling this role.
Qualified pharmacists ready to contribute compliance expertise and support patient safety through regulatory oversight are encouraged to apply.
