A home infusion pharmacy with multiple nationwide locations is seeking a skilled Lead Pharmacist in Charge to join their New Castle, DE site as a direct hire. This role offers an opportunity to specialize in complex and specialty infusion therapies within a patient-centered environment, providing leadership and clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized clinical support, managing specialty therapies and offering drug information to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Compound and dispense complex infusion medications, or oversee their preparation, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Coordinate patient care by collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and insurance representatives to facilitate timely medication delivery and administration.
  • Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, and self-administration, particularly for home infusion therapies.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, maintain accurate patient records, and promote a safe and compliant practice environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Delaware, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required (licensure fees covered by employer).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of infusion pharmacy experience.
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or managerial role in an infusion pharmacy setting is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system is highly advantageous.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
