A home infusion pharmacy with multiple locations nationwide is seeking a Lead Pharmacist in Charge to join their team on-site in New Castle, DE. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to manage and support specialized infusion therapies while playing a crucial role in patient care coordination.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized clinical support for managing complex infusion and specialty therapies.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of complex medications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and insurers to ensure timely medication delivery and efficient patient care.
  • Educate patients on medication use, self-administration techniques, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations while ensuring a safe and accurate medication environment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in Delaware; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed, with licensure expenses covered by the employer.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of infusion pharmacy experience.
  • Prior experience as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or Manager in an infusion pharmacy setting is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CareTend system is a plus.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of specialty and infusion therapies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
