Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | New York, New York

A retail pharmacy requires an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide leadership and ensure smooth pharmacy operations for a 4 to 8-week period in Bronx, New York. This contract role demands someone who can step in quickly and manage pharmacy functions with confidence, either as an experienced PIC or a skilled Staff Pharmacist comfortable taking on PIC responsibilities.

• Bronx, New York

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1st shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure safe delivery under the supervision of the pharmacy manager.
• Counsel and advise patients on medication regimens, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and problems per organizational guidelines.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances and drug records.
• Manage and clarify third-party insurance coverage issues for patients.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear New York State pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Previous retail pharmacy management experience preferred, but not required.
• Comfortable using Pioneer pharmacy software.
