This opening position offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage all pharmacy operations within a specialized 503A compounding pharmacy. The individual will serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), responsible for ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency in the preparation and fulfillment of both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications. This role requires a strong commitment to regulatory adherence and operational excellence, overseeing daily workflows, quality assurance, and staff leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the reporting of operational changes, ownership transitions, facility upgrades, or PIC status updates.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations ensuring compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, FDA 503A, and state/federal regulations.
  • Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Direct batch record creation, execution, review, and approval processes.
  • Support production scheduling to guarantee on-time delivery and accurate inventory management.
  • Promote continuous improvement through quality assurance partnerships and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid PA Pharmacist License.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> and applicable state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding.
  • Proven experience leading audits and regulatory inspections confidently.

Location:

  • Newark, DE

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays, if required
