Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Newark, Delaware

A home infusion pharmacy with multiple nationwide locations is seeking a Lead Pharmacist in Charge to join their New Castle, DE site on a direct-hire basis. This role focuses on managing complex specialty and infusion therapies, ensuring safe and compliant medication use, and leading patient care services within the pharmacy.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical support by managing specialty infusion therapies and delivering drug information to healthcare providers and patients.
• Compound and dispense complex medications as well as oversee preparation processes in an infusion setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to coordinate medication delivery and administration.
• Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and techniques for self-administration, particularly in home infusion contexts.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, ensure accurate patient records, and uphold a safe, compliant working environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Delaware with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required (licensure costs covered by the employer).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in infusion pharmacy practice.
• Prior Pharmacist in Charge or management experience within an infusion pharmacy setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy management system is a plus.
