Responsibilities:
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage daily pharmacy functions, including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care services.
- Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to promote safe and efficient pharmacy practice.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training for pharmacy staff to maintain high service quality.
- Oversee inventory management to balance stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve medication-related concerns.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new medications, and regulatory changes, adjusting operations accordingly.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and conduct regular audits for compliance and safety.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license.
- 2-4 years of experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy preferred.
- Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in LTC settings.
- High reliability and commitment to attendance is critical.
- Familiarity with Frameworks software preferred (training provided).
- Ability to manage a volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
