Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Nipomo, California

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) seeking a flexible per diem role with a reputable mail order medical equipment provider. The position supports a California facility and requires licensed PIC oversight during a transitional period while the permanent PIC completes licensing.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance as the licensed PIC under California regulations—primarily a supervisory role with minimal hands-on daily tasks. While the role is mostly remote, proximity to the facility is essential to respond quickly to any onsite needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge for a California location
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with state laws and regulatory standards
• Provide oversight and guidance during the transition to new permanent PIC
• Be available to attend onsite visits if required

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current California pharmacist license and PIC authorization
• Proven experience as a PIC, preferably in a mail order or pharmacy environment
• Ability to work independently with attention to regulatory compliance
• Proximity to Nipomo, CA to allow onsite presence when needed

Location:

• Primarily remote with a requirement to be local to Nipomo, CA for occasional onsite responsibilities

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime hours
• Minimum guarantee of 11 hours per week
