Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Norristown, Pennsylvania

This role offers an opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a 503A compounding pharmacy, overseeing all aspects of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. The PIC holds full regulatory accountability for compliance with state, federal, FDA, and USP standards while managing daily pharmacy operations and leading the pharmacy team.

Location: Kennett Square, PA
Job Type: 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated PIC for non-resident state pharmacy licenses
• Act as the primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations and quality assurance processes
• Lead pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
• Manage batch record creation, review, and approval
• Support production scheduling for timely delivery, inventory management, and capacity planning

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active PA Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager
• Expertise with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and regulations governing 503A compounding pharmacies
• Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
