Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | North Adams, Massachusetts

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with the potential to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) within an independent retail pharmacy setting. This role is designed for a professional ready to take on responsibilities in managing pharmacy operations while providing excellent patient care. The position is initially contract-to-hire, offering 13 weeks with the possibility of direct hire based on performance.

Location: North Adams, MA

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including 3 pharmacy technicians.
• Process and verify prescription orders through computer-based RX order entry.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safe dispensing of medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to optimize pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts pharmacy license is required.
• Experience in retail pharmacy practice is essential.
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is advantageous.
• Open to pharmacists eager to advance into a Pharmacy Manager role.
• Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a high-volume environment (approximately 100 prescriptions per day).

Contract Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks contract with the potential to convert to direct hire.
• Compensation: $62 per hour.
