A newly established specialty pharmacy in the Las Vegas area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead its growing operations. This permanent leadership role offers the opportunity to manage compounding services previously outsourced, focusing on a niche portfolio including GLP-1 medications, allergy treatments, and immunotherapies. The pharmacy’s advanced compliance infrastructure is supported by a top-tier regulatory consultant, ensuring full adherence to USP <797>, <800>, FDA, and multi-state pharmacy regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the designated PIC and maintaining compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
- Overseeing sterile compounding processes, quality assurance, and workflow management
- Hiring, supervising, and training pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Managing regulatory inspections, audits, and ongoing compliance activities
- Implementing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for sterile compounding
- Ensuring proper environmental monitoring, validation, documentation, and handling of compounded sterile preparations
- Collaborating on operational strategies, expansion plans, and licensing across multiple states
Ideal candidates will have:
- An active Nevada pharmacy license; possessing a California license is highly advantageous due to business operations in that state
- At least three years of experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
- Strong management and interpersonal skills to lead and grow the pharmacy team
- Ability to secure additional pharmacy licenses as the business expands
- Residency in the Las Vegas area preferred
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
