Pharmacist in Charge in Northampton, MA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to step into a leadership role within an independent retail pharmacy environment in Northampton, MA. This position offers a 13-week contract with the potential for direct hire, providing a pathway to advance your career into Pharmacy-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities.

Schedule and Environment:

• Work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Independent retail pharmacy setting
• Manage prescription volume averaging 100 scripts per day
• Collaborate with a small, dedicated team of 3 pharmacy technicians
• Utilize Computer RX for order entry

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Serve as the pharmacist on duty, managing workflow and patient consultations
• Engage in leadership duties consistent with a PIC role, including staff coordination
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and record-keeping

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts
• Experience in retail pharmacy practice is essential
• Prior Pharmacy-in-Charge experience is highly valued, though staff pharmacists interested in advancing into management will be considered
