Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Northampton, Massachusetts

A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an independent retail pharmacy. This role offers a chance to lead pharmacy operations in a supportive environment with a moderate script volume and a skilled team.

Location:

• Northampton, MA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment with potential for direct hire

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care
• Manage prescription order entry using Computer RX system
• Collaborate with a team of three pharmacy technicians assisting in workflow
• Serve as the sole pharmacist/patient medication expert during the shift
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide excellent patient counseling and medication therapy management
• Assist with pharmacy inventory and staff coordination as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts pharmacy license
• Prior pharmacy retail experience required
• Pharmacy in Charge (PIC) experience is highly desirable; consideration given to experienced staff pharmacists interested in advancing to PIC/Pharmacy Manager role
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
