Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Orange Park, Florida

A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to serve in an interim capacity. This contract opportunity offers a chance to oversee pharmaceutical operations in a specialized healthcare setting, supporting patient recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting with nursing and medical staff to ensure effective medication management. The role requires leadership in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while fostering collaboration among the healthcare team.

Ideal candidates will possess an active Florida pharmacist license, with previous hospital experience strongly preferred. While this position calls for a pharmacist comfortable assuming PIC duties, extensive Director of Pharmacy experience is not a requirement—willingness to step into this role is key.
