A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge to manage pharmacy operations on an interim basis. This role offers a valuable opportunity to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge and Director of Pharmacy responsibilities within a supportive team environment. The position is contract-based, starting as soon as possible, with a 13-week duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations including order verification and medication distribution
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient workflow
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians providing medication-related consultations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and safety standards
- Serve as the Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge/Director of Pharmacy with focused leadership duties
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Pharmacist license
- Experience working in a hospital setting is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Detail-oriented with knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
