Pharmacist in Charge - Oroville, CA

An Interim Pharmacist In Charge position is available for an immediate start. This contract role spans approximately 12 to 13 weeks, providing critical leadership and operational oversight for a busy retail pharmacy located in Oroville, CA.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full cycle of prescription processing and dispensing, including direct communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Handle opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
• Complete all required Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) paperwork and compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license in-hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience; prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge is highly preferred.
• Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) card are mandatory.
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy systems.
• Ability and willingness to assume PIC responsibilities and manage regulatory requirements.
