A specialty pharmacy focused on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is seeking an experienced Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to lead the licensure and operational launch of a new mail-order pharmacy in Lancaster, PA. This temp-to-hire role starts mid-June and offers the unique opportunity to build pharmacy operations from the ground up, overseeing the transition from partner pharmacy dispensing over 2,500 scripts monthly to a fully operational in-house facility.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the named PIC on the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy license application; lead the submission, inspection preparation, and approval process
- Collaborate with build-out teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory and physical requirements
- Develop, author, and implement all pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prior to launch
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations post-launch, including dispensing, fulfillment, quality assurance, and controlled substance compliance
- Manage DEA registration and ensure ongoing audit readiness
- Hire, train, and supervise pharmacy support staff as the operation grows
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing (no disciplinary history)
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience; prior PIC experience highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with new pharmacy launches, including pre-licensure processes and regulatory inspections
- Strong knowledge of DEA compliance and controlled substance management
- Background in specialty pharmacy, HRT, or compounding preferred
- Experience authoring and implementing pharmacy SOPs
- Willingness and ability to pursue multi-state licensure through NABP reciprocity or endorsement strongly valued
