A growing specialty pharmacy focused on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) seeks a dedicated Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead the Pennsylvania licensure process and operational launch of a new mail-order pharmacy. This contract-to-hire role starts mid-June at a recently secured 7,500 sq ft facility undergoing build-out. The pharmacist will play a pivotal role in transitioning patient prescriptions to the new in-house pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as named PIC for Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy licensure application, managing all steps from submission to board inspection and approval
- Collaborate on facility build-out compliance with Board requirements
- Author and implement all pharmacy SOPs, policies, and procedures
- Oversee pharmacy operations, including dispensing, mail order fulfillment, and quality assurance upon launch
- Manage DEA registration and controlled substance compliance programs
- Maintain audit readiness and act as primary regulatory contact
- Hire, train, and lead pharmacy support staff as the team grows
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing (no disciplinary actions)
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience, with prior PIC experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with new pharmacy launches, pre-licensure setup, regulatory applications, and inspections
- Strong understanding of DEA compliance and controlled substance handling
- Background in specialty pharmacy, particularly HRT, compounding, or related therapy areas
- Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable in a pre-operational, build-out environment
- Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as the pharmacy expands, including multi-state PIC roles (strongly preferred)
