Employment Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Dates: May 18 through June 30, with possibility of extension
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, day shift , 40 hours per week
On Call: Required, very minimal chance of being called in

Facility Overview
-10 bed Emergency Department and 10-bed inpatient micro hospital
-Solo pharmacist operation, no pharmacy technician support on site
-No sterile compounding required
Responsibilities
-Serve as the sole Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all daily pharmacy operations
-Perform all PIC responsibilities, including audits, regulatory compliance, and oversight
-Restock and manage medication inventory throughout the facility
-Verify and process medication orders using Cerner
-Manage Omnicell automated dispensing systems throughout the facility
-Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and Joint Commission standards
-Maintain operational responsibilities for the full hospital pharmacy function
-Be available for minimal on-call coverage as needed
Experience
-Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
-Prior PIC or supervisory pharmacy experience strongly preferred
-Experience working independently in a small or solo pharmacy environment a plus
-Cerner experience preferred
-Omnicell proficiency preferred
Skills
-Highly self-sufficient and comfortable operating as the sole pharmacist on site
-Strong organizational and operational skills
-Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of PIC responsibilities and regulatory compliance
-Calm and reliable under pressure in an emergency department and inpatient setting
-Excellent communicator with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff
Qualifications
-Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
-Willingness to serve as Pharmacist in Charge required
Education
-Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
