A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to manage regulatory and operational standards within a 503A compounding pharmacy in Chandler, AZ. This temp-to-perm contract role will support the pharmacy’s transition to a new location, ensuring compliance through a critical decommissioning period of approximately 13+ weeks. Flexibility for full-time day shifts is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and other licensed states, overseeing all regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure in Arizona plus required states including AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX.
  • Enforce adherence to FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy standards.
  • Lead regulatory inspections and audits, acting as the pharmacy’s primary representative.
  • Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and staff training.
  • Manage reporting for controlled substance theft/loss and regulatory notifications regarding staffing and operational changes.
  • Ensure all licensure, accreditation, and documentation are current and compliant.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in Arizona and multiple other states as listed.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience, including leadership during regulatory inspections.
  • Knowledge of compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, day shift with schedule flexibility for operational needs.

This contract temp-to-perm role is ideal for candidates holding multiple pharmacist licenses, including those willing to co-share responsibilities with appropriate licensure coverage. Remote pharmacists licensed in required states who can maintain compliance remotely will also be considered.
