A well-established 503A compounding pharmacy based in Chandler, AZ seeks a highly skilled Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory, operational, and quality functions during a critical transition period. This contract-to-permanent role, spanning approximately 13 weeks, is pivotal for overseeing the safe decommissioning of a facility and maintaining rigorous compliance standards. Flexibility in scheduling and multiple pharmacist licenses are essential, with opportunities for candidates holding half the required licenses to collaborate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated PIC for Arizona and applicable non-resident state licenses (AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX).
- Maintain active pharmacist licensure across required states.
- Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Lead and represent the pharmacy during regulatory inspections and audits.
- Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs.
- Manage submission of required reports, including theft/loss, and notify authorities about changes in PIC status, staffing, or pharmacy hours.
- Maintain oversight of licensure, accreditation, and all regulatory documentation.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in Arizona and multiple additional states listed above.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmacy practice, with a strong background hosting inspections.
- Familiarity with compounding operations and DEA regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
