This part-time opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to take on the critical role of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a reputable Opioid Treatment Center. Operating under a contract arrangement, this position offers a one-year term with potential for extension or transition to direct hire.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
- 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM (20 hours per week)
- Located in Alexandria, Louisiana
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations as the designated Pharmacist in Charge
- Conduct thorough chart reviews and maintain precise documentation
- Verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with filling prescriptions when technician support is unavailable
- Prepare and submit internal reports and forms, utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Work independently with minimal direct patient interaction, unless requested
- Handle pharmacy functions without billing or insurance processing duties
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing, free from any negative history
- 3 to 5 years of professional pharmacy experience
- Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment is preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
