Pharmacist in Charge - Pineville, LA

A Part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) position is available at an Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This contract role offers a 1-year assignment with potential for extension or direct hire, providing stability and opportunity for growth. The schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, totaling 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge
• Conduct chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation
• Verify prescriptions and fill them when pharmacy technician support is unavailable
• Complete internal reports and forms using Microsoft Excel
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Work independently, with limited patient interaction unless requested
• No billing or insurance responsibilities involved

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment is preferred but not required
