Pharmacist in Charge in Pineville, LA

This part-time opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to take on the critical role of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a reputable Opioid Treatment Center. Operating under a contract arrangement, this position offers a one-year term with potential for extension or transition to direct hire.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
• 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM (20 hours per week)
• Located in Alexandria, Louisiana

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the designated Pharmacist in Charge
• Conduct thorough chart reviews and maintain precise documentation
• Verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with filling prescriptions when technician support is unavailable
• Prepare and submit internal reports and forms, utilizing Microsoft Excel
• Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Work independently with minimal direct patient interaction, unless requested
• Handle pharmacy functions without billing or insurance processing duties

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing, free from any negative history
• 3 to 5 years of professional pharmacy experience
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment is preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
