Pharmacist in Charge in Plano, TX

A high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy in the Irving area is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge for a part-time (20 hours/week) 13-week assignment starting as soon as 8/12. This role offers an opportunity to work primarily first shift, with flexibility for day or mid-shift hours based on candidate availability. Daily prescription volume ranges from 1,000 to 1,500, utilizing DRx pharmacy software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Respond to inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medication-related inquiries
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations while providing excellent patient service

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Alabama or Texas is required (Alabama license preferred to meet immediate needs)
• Additional licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, Oklahoma are also accepted
• Prior experience managing high-volume prescription processing
• Familiarity with DRx software is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to handle patient and provider inquiries professionally
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during assigned shifts
