An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to manage an active community center pharmacy in Redding, CA. This full-time contract role begins mid to late next week with a start date of June 29 and extends for approximately 6 to 8 weeks, or until a permanent placement is made. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Interim PIC, overseeing daily pharmacy operations within a community health setting
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing leadership and guidance
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers at the center to ensure seamless pharmacy services
- Manage compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system, with training provided as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Recent retail pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong knowledge of pharmacy practices
- Proven ability to supervise and lead pharmacy support staff effectively
- Familiarity with community or specialty pharmacy settings is preferred
- Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to the New Leaf system (training available)
