Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Redding, California

An immediate need exists for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to provide leadership at a community center pharmacy. This full-time contract position begins ASAP, with training scheduled for mid to late next week and a start date of June 29. The engagement will last approximately 6-8 weeks or until a permanent placement is secured. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating closely with healthcare providers at the center. The role requires managing workflow to ensure efficient and safe medication dispensing while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Candidates should bring recent retail pharmacy experience and be ready to lead confidently in a community pharmacy setting. Strong support from pharmacy technicians is in place, allowing you to focus on leadership and clinical responsibilities. Experience with the New Leaf system is a plus, though training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist licensure with eligibility to serve as Pharmacist in Charge
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy staff
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Willingness to learn and utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system

• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
