Retail Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Reno, Nevada

Immediate opportunity for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide essential leadership and oversight at a busy retail pharmacy location in Reno, NV. This 6-8 week contract requires a skilled pharmacist ready to step in promptly and manage pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with Nevada Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full duties and responsibilities as the Pharmacist in Charge in accordance with NV BOP standards.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription verification, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate closely with an experienced pharmacy technician team to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safe dispensing practices throughout the contract duration.
• Communicate effectively with management and healthcare providers as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Nevada Pharmacist license in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist in Charge, particularly in retail pharmacy settings.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices under NV Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to lead and manage pharmacy staff effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 12:00 am to 6:30 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
