A leadership opportunity is available for a seasoned pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy in Richmond, Kentucky. This direct hire role demands a reliable, experienced professional to maintain high standards in compliance, staff management, and patient care within a busy pharmacy handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
• Manage daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, counseling, and patient care services.
• Keep accurate records of pharmacy transactions and inventory, including controlled substances.
• Develop and implement policies for safe, efficient pharmacy functioning.
• Lead and support pharmacy team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to pharmacy staff.
• Oversee inventory management to balance stock levels and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to resolve medication-related issues.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly with excellent service.
• Monitor industry trends and regulations, ensuring pharmacy practices are updated accordingly.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and regular audits to maintain compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shift.
