A leadership opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge at a closed door, long-term care (LTC) facility. Location: Richmond, KY
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, Day Shift
- Evening and weekend coverage only if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient services.
- Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures for safety and efficiency.
- Lead, support, and evaluate pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Manage medication inventory in partnership with the inventory manager to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance entities to resolve medication-related issues.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring excellent service.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct audits and inspections to safeguard compliance and patient safety.
- Promote a clean, safe workspace adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license required.
- 2-4 years of direct LTC pharmacy experience preferred.
- Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in LTC settings.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Frameworks software system.
- Exceptional attendance record and reliability are essential.
