A leadership opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge at a closed door, long-term care (LTC) facility. This direct hire role demands a highly reliable professional with strong management skills and a commitment to operational excellence. Attendance and dependability are critical to success in maintaining consistent pharmacy services in this environment.

Location: Richmond, KY
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, Day Shift
  • Evening and weekend coverage only if needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient services.
  • Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures for safety and efficiency.
  • Lead, support, and evaluate pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage medication inventory in partnership with the inventory manager to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance entities to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring excellent service.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to safeguard compliance and patient safety.
  • Promote a clean, safe workspace adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license required.
  • 2-4 years of direct LTC pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in LTC settings.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Frameworks software system.
  • Exceptional attendance record and reliability are essential.
