A retail pharmacist in charge role is available for a contract-to-hire assignment in Prophetstown, IL, with a focus on overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., supported by the McKesson Enterprise software system. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Supervise, train, and manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and patient safety
• Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and pharmacy records
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and optimize patient care
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy workflow

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Illinois
• Experience in pharmacy management or as pharmacist in charge (PIC)
