Pharmacist in Charge in Saint Charles, MO

An interim Pharmacist in Charge opportunity is available at a behavioral health inpatient facility in St. Charles, MO. This role is critical in maintaining seamless pharmacy operations during the transition period until a permanent Pharmacist in Charge is hired. The assignment is expected to last approximately four weeks.

Location: St. Charles, MO
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks (until permanent hire)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid meal break

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
• Manage medication dispensing and inventory control
• Perform drug repackaging using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Load medications into automated dispensing systems and run restock reports
• Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain a safe medication environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing machines highly desirable
• Competency in repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems
• Basic knowledge of managing automated pharmacy technology and inventory systems
