Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Saint Charles, Missouri

An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to support an inpatient behavioral health facility located in St. Charles, MO. This contract role is perfect for a licensed pharmacist ready to step into a leadership position on a short-term basis while the facility searches for a permanent hire.

Location: St. Charles, MO
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks, covering until permanent placement
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid meal break

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with regulations and safe medication practices
• Manage drug repackaging processes using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems
• Utilize Omnicell technology for medication storage and dispensing
• Perform basic loading of drugs into automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports
• Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff to maintain high standards of patient care

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacist License
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Familiarity with medication repackaging using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Basic understanding of drug loading into automated systems and running inventory reports
• Strong organizational and communication skills
