A 50-bed rehab hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This opportunity involves serving as an Interim PIC/Director of Pharmacy, ideal for a licensed pharmacist comfortable stepping into PIC responsibilities without the pressure of being a senior Director of Pharmacy specialist.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
- Consulting and collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient medication therapy
- Upholding regulatory compliance and pharmacy policies in the hospital setting
Qualifications:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations and protocols
