Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Saint Johns, Florida

A 50-bed rehab hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This opportunity involves serving as an Interim PIC/Director of Pharmacy, ideal for a licensed pharmacist comfortable stepping into PIC responsibilities without the pressure of being a senior Director of Pharmacy specialist.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
• Consulting and collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to optimize patient medication therapy
• Upholding regulatory compliance and pharmacy policies in the hospital setting

Qualifications:

• Active Florida pharmacist license required
• Hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations and protocols
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage staff and interact with healthcare teams effectively
• Willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge duties during the contract tenure
