Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Saint Petersburg, Florida

A retail and mail-order pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge for a part-time, 13-week contract position in Clearwater, Florida. This role offers flexible scheduling options within their first shift hours and an opportunity to work in a high-volume pharmacy environment processing 1,000 to 1,500 prescriptions daily. The software used on-site is DRx.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medication inquiries
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Pharmacist licenses in Florida and California are required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers
• Ability to work within varied hours, primarily focused on day or mid shifts

Schedule:

• Part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling within available shifts to accommodate candidate availability
• First shift preferred, with some options for mid-shift hours
