An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) with specialty knowledge in HIV/AIDS medications to lead pharmacy operations in a dynamic setting focused on improving patient care. This full-time, direct hire position requires a strong foundation in HIV/AIDS pharmacotherapy and extensive experience managing retail or specialty pharmacies.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge ensuring compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of service and patient safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative clinical services
- Promote and uphold the pharmacy’s core values and mission in all activities
- Lead and support a diverse staff within a collaborative organizational structure
- Participate in internal and external meetings, conferences, and training sessions
- Drive consistent application of best practices, policies, and procedures across all locations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail or specialty pharmacy management, preferably with 10 years in supervisory roles
- Strong foundation in HIV/AIDS medications; willingness to enhance expertise through dedicated training
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multicultural populations
- Experience in community or specialty pharmacy settings; hospital-only candidates will not be considered
