A retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy in Sanford, FL seeks an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 16-week contract covering paternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to manage a focused single-pharmacist site specializing in HIV/AIDS medications, providing essential care and support to a dedicated patient population.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Start date: August 24, with a 2-week training period alongside the current PIC
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations independently as the sole pharmacist on site, with no pharmacy technician support
- Accurately dispense 20-30 prescriptions daily, ensuring adherence to HIV/AIDS medication protocols
- Maintain strong communication with patients and healthcare providers, fostering a high level of patient care and support
- Ensure timely attendance and demonstrate a positive, professional attitude consistently
- Utilize pharmacy software effectively; experience with QS1 preferred
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1-year retail pharmacy experience
- Experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications strongly preferred—please confirm your expertise in this area
- Ability to work independently in a high-responsibility environment
