Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Semmes, Alabama

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations in a specialty retail setting focused on dermatology patients. This role is a contract-to-hire position, providing an excellent pathway to a permanent role if the fit is right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of two pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Oversee dispensing, including nonsterile compounding of creams and gels.
• Collaborate with dermatology providers to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and pharmacy inventory.
• Utilize New Leaf pharmacy system (experience not required; training can be provided).

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist in Charge.
• Dermatology pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of nonsterile compounding, especially creams and gels, is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This position begins in 1-2 weeks and runs for approximately 13 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and mutual agreement.
