Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Semmes, Alabama

An experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is needed for an interim role with the potential to convert to permanent status. This position is based in Semmes, AL, and offers an opportunity to lead a specialized retail pharmacy team.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge.
• Manage and support a team of two pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Facilitate the dispensing of dermatology-related prescriptions and nonsterile compounding, such as creams and gels.
• Collaborate with dermatology providers to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC.
• Dermatology pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Skills in nonsterile compounding of topical medications are a plus.
• Familiarity with New Leaf pharmacy management system is helpful, though not required.

Work Environment:

• Specialty retail pharmacy with manageable patient volume.
• Patients are primarily referred by dermatology providers to the in-house pharmacy, allowing focused and personalized service.
