Pharmacist in Charge in Shasta Lake, CA

An urgent opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a community center pharmacy in the Shasta Lake area. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring quality patient care within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Interim Pharmacist in Charge, managing daily pharmacy activities
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate closely with center providers to deliver excellent pharmaceutical care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy policies
• Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system, with training provided as needed

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Recent retail pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong operational and clinical skills
• Proven ability to lead and supervise pharmacy staff effectively
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems, with willingness to learn New Leaf
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This contract position is full-time, starting ASAP with training anticipated mid to late next week and continuing for approximately 6 to 8 weeks or until a permanent placement is secured. You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced pharmacy technician team to help you succeed in this leadership role.
