An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a community center pharmacy. This contract position involves supervising pharmacy technicians and collaborating closely with healthcare providers to ensure effective pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will oversee daily activities, maintain compliance with regulations, and provide leadership within the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy functions.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Manage inventory, prescriptions, and pharmacy documentation.
  • Utilize the New Leaf system for pharmacy operations (training provided).

Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license.
  • Recent retail pharmacy experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage pharmacy staff.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the New Leaf pharmacy system.

Schedule:

  • Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Start date: ASAP, with training scheduled mid to late next week.
  • Duration: 6 to 8 weeks or until permanent placement is secured.

  • This is a contract assignment with the potential for extension based on client needs.
