Pharmacist in Charge - Shelburne Falls, MA

This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with retail pharmacy experience seeking a role with the potential for long-term growth. Serving as the sole pharmacist and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), you will play a pivotal role in managing an independent retail pharmacy environment. The position features a Monday through Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a moderate script volume of approximately 100 prescriptions per day.

Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations as the PIC, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Provide exceptional patient care and medication counseling
• Manage and coordinate with a support team of three pharmacy technicians
• Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently using computer RX systems
• Support workflow and maintain high standards in an independent retail pharmacy setting

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Massachusetts
• Proven retail pharmacy experience required
• Prior PIC experience is a significant plus, but staff pharmacists looking to advance to a pharmacy manager role are encouraged to apply
• Strong organizational and communication skills
