An interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide leadership and oversight at a well-established pharmacy location. This contract role offers 6 to 8 weeks of focused involvement, supporting an experienced pharmacy technician team to maintain excellent patient care and compliance standards.

Location:

  • Sparks, NV (interim coverage at a nearby site in Reno, NV)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full PIC responsibilities in compliance with Nevada Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations
  • Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality of services
  • Lead and support an experienced technician team to maintain smooth daily workflow
  • Manage inventory control, regulatory updates, and staff coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for regulatory compliance during the interim period

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid pharmacist license in Nevada with eligibility to assume PIC status
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or significant supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of Nevada Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively guide the team
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and quality standards
