Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Spring, Texas

This opportunity calls for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to manage pharmacy operations in a psychiatric facility with 128 licensed beds and an average daily census of 103. The role requires a Texas Pharmacist license and a proactive approach to overseeing staff and ensuring uninterrupted pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy staffing and scheduling, coordinating 2 technicians and 3 PRN pharmacists.
• Provide weekend and on-call coverage as needed to fill coverage gaps.
• Utilize and learn the HCS order entry system for efficient medication processing.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Support pharmacy operations focused on specialized psychiatric care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist licensure is mandatory.
• Experience in managing pharmacy staff and scheduling.
• Familiarity with psychiatric pharmacy services is highly desirable.
• Ability to quickly learn and operate the HCS order entry system.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Spring, TX.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Occasional weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM may be required.
• On-call duties to cover any staffing gaps are part of the role.
