Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Springfield, Massachusetts

This Per Diem opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) seeking a daytime schedule. The role supports a specialty home infusion pharmacy environment, providing essential leadership during a transitional period. This position requires commitment Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, for approximately 8 weeks. It offers engagement in a newly established, low-volume pharmacy, focused on specialty home infusion services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Assume full legal responsibility by officially hanging the PIC license.
• Oversee pharmacy operations during interim phase until a permanent PIC is identified.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and medication accuracy.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support the unique needs of a specialty infusion setting.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is mandatory.
• Exposure to home infusion, specialty infusion, or specialty pharmacy is highly advantageous.
• Active Massachusetts pharmacy license required.

This is a contract position offering a competitive hourly rate of $65 to $70, commensurate with experience.
