Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Sun Valley, Nevada

This opportunity seeks a licensed Pharmacist ready to serve as Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a busy retail pharmacy. The role offers a chance to lead and manage pharmacy operations within a supportive environment, backed by an experienced technician team.

Location: Sun Valley, NV (with coverage responsibilities in Reno, NV)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Contract Duration: 6 to 8 weeks starting Monday, May 11

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility as Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing daily pharmacy operations in compliance with Nevada Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Collaborate closely with a skilled and experienced technician team to ensure efficient pharmacy workflows.
• Manage medication dispensing, inventory control, and quality assurance practices.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relevant to pharmacy operations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and institutional policies.
• Provide excellent patient care and counseling services.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and active Pharmacist license eligible to fulfill Pharmacist in Charge duties as recognized by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
• Proven experience or readiness to take on PIC responsibilities.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage pharmacy staff effectively.
• Thorough understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
