Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Sun Valley, Nevada

A 6-8 week interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available, beginning Monday, May 11, for a well-established retail location. This contract role involves taking on PIC responsibilities in compliance with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy regulations. Candidates must be prepared to assume full PIC duties upon assignment.

Location:

• Sun Valley, NV (with primary duties at a nearby retail pharmacy)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full accountability as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring pharmacy operations meet all legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Oversee daily dispensing activities, maintaining high standards of patient safety and service quality.
• Collaborate and lead an experienced pharmacy technician team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage regulatory compliance with Nevada Board of Pharmacy requirements, including controlled substance handling and record maintenance.
• Coordinate with store management and healthcare providers to optimize patient care and pharmacy performance.

Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacist license in Nevada or eligibility for licensure with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with customers.
• Ability to accurately perform dispensing duties and maintain detailed records.
