This opportunity is for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to provide dedicated leadership and management support at a micro-hospital setting in Wisconsin. The position requires a professional with inpatient pharmacy experience who can balance clinical responsibilities with administrative oversight to ensure safe and compliant pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the sole Pharmacist in Charge overseeing all pharmacy operations within the facility
  • Perform staff pharmacist duties including order verification and medication dispensing using the Epic system
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with regulations, particularly addressing past controlled substance concerns
  • Manage medication restocking and inventory control with Omnicell automation
  • Take on-call duties as part of the role, providing after-hours support when necessary
  • Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and ongoing guidance

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Wisconsin pharmacist license required
  • Proven inpatient pharmacy experience essential, especially in hospital or acute care settings
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance best practices
  • Experience working independently and managing pharmacy operations without on-site staff support
  • Familiarity with Epic order entry and Omnicell automation desirable

Schedule & Location:

  • Day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • No weekend coverage required
  • Position located in Menomonee Falls, WI, within a 7-bed emergency and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital environment

This contract role, expected to last 2–3 months immediately, offers an engaging mix of clinical and leadership responsibilities in a unique micro-hospital setting. Remote training and ongoing support from the pharmacy leadership team will be provided to ensure success.
