Pharmacist in Charge - Waukesha, WI

An opportunity is available for an interim Pharmacist in Charge to support a micro-hospital setting specializing in emergency and inpatient care. This contract position is based in Wisconsin and offers a chance to take on a critical leadership role in a compact, focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations single-handedly for this site
• Manage inpatient pharmacy services within a 7-bed emergency department and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital
• Conduct medication audits, ensure restocking, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Utilize the Epic order entry system and manage automated dispensing with Omnicell technology
• Respond to on-call duties as required
• Collaborate remotely with local leadership to receive ongoing training and guidance

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license (required)
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, ideally in a hospital or emergency care setting
• Ability to handle pharmacy operations independently and responsibly
• Familiarity with Epic and Omnicell systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to addressing prior controlled substance diversion concerns

Schedule:

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• No weekend coverage required

This assignment is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 months, beginning immediately. The role does not involve sterile compounding.
