A healthcare facility in Wisconsin seeks an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide expert pharmaceutical leadership on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong inpatient experience, licensed in Wisconsin, who can confidently manage day-to-day responsibilities in a unique micro-hospital setting.
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Schedule:
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- No weekend coverage, but on-call availability required
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations at the site
- Perform staff pharmacist duties, managing medication order entry using Epic system
- Maintain inventory and restock medication using Omnicell automation
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance, particularly addressing past controlled substance concerns
- Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Wisconsin pharmacist license required
- Experience working in inpatient settings essential
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, given sole PIC staffing model
- Familiarity with Epic order entry and Omnicell automation preferred
- Commitment to upholding strict controlled substance security protocols

- 7-bed Emergency Department and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital
- Single pharmacist operation, providing autonomy and responsibility
