Pharmacist in Charge in West Bend, WI

A healthcare facility in Wisconsin seeks an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide expert pharmaceutical leadership on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong inpatient experience, licensed in Wisconsin, who can confidently manage day-to-day responsibilities in a unique micro-hospital setting.

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Schedule:

• Day shift
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• No weekend coverage, but on-call availability required

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations at the site
• Perform staff pharmacist duties, managing medication order entry using Epic system
• Maintain inventory and restock medication using Omnicell automation
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance, particularly addressing past controlled substance concerns
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Wisconsin pharmacist license required
• Experience working in inpatient settings essential
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, given sole PIC staffing model
• Familiarity with Epic order entry and Omnicell automation preferred
• Commitment to upholding strict controlled substance security protocols
