Pharmacist in Charge in West Chester, PA

Lead the pharmacy operations as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in a specialized 503A Compounding Pharmacy. This role holds the highest level of pharmacy leadership responsibility, ensuring all prescription fulfillment and compounding activities comply with stringent state, federal, and FDA regulations. The pharmacist will oversee both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes while driving quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic facility.

Location:

• West Chester, PA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as the legally designated PIC for multiple non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage regulatory reporting related to operational, ownership, and facility changes.
• Oversee all sterile and non-sterile compounding operations ensuring compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
• Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production teams.
• Review and approve batch records while supporting production scheduling and inventory management.
• Ensure training compliance and facility readiness to meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
• Expert knowledge of USP standards and federal, state, and FDA 503A pharmacy regulations
• Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections
• Strong leadership and communication skills for team oversight and regulatory correspondence
