A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director role within a 503A compounding pharmacy. This position holds overall responsibility for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient fulfillment of prescriptions, including both sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. The PIC maintains full regulatory accountability for adherence to state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, unless otherwise assigned
- Act as primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, auditors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Manage reporting related to operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes
- Direct sterile and non-sterile compounding workflows, batch record oversight, and quality assurance efforts
- Lead pharmacists, supervisors, technicians, and production staff, ensuring compliance and continuous process improvement
- Support production scheduling, inventory control, and capacity planning to meet delivery targets
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager
- In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> standards and relevant state/federal regulations governing 503A operations
- Proven experience managing regulatory inspections and audits

West Chester, PA
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Flexible availability on Saturdays, if needed
Position Type:
- 13-week contract with potential to transition to permanent placement
