Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | West Chester, Pennsylvania

An exciting opportunity is available for an Interim Staff Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small hospital facility providing both emergency department and inpatient care. This role offers the chance to lead pharmacy operations at a 10-bed micro-hospital known for delivering personalized patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full Pharmacist in Charge duties, including compliance audits and inventory restocking
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations independently as the sole pharmacist on site
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and manage medication distribution through Omnicell automation
• Participate in an on-call rotation, with minimal likelihood of being required to respond after hours
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and support

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience essential for managing hospital medication services
• Ability to function autonomously in a small-team environment without onsite technician support
• Knowledge of Cerner order entry and Omnicell automation systems strongly preferred

Schedule & Location:

• Monday through Friday, day shift hours
• Located in the West Grove, PA area
• Coverage dates from May 18 to June 30, with potential extension
