Pharmacist in Charge in West Chester, PA

An opportunity is available for an Interim Staff Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a 10-bed micro-hospital facility specializing in emergency and inpatient care. This role requires strong inpatient experience and a current Pennsylvania pharmacist license.

Location: West Grove, PA
Job Type: Contract (5/18 – 6/30, with possibility of extension)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift
• On-call required, though calls are infrequent

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full PIC duties, including operational oversight of the hospital pharmacy
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Manage medication restocking and inventory control
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation systems
• Handle all pharmacy operations independently, as no technician support is available

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy settings
• Ability to work autonomously and manage all pharmacy operations as sole pharmacist on-site
• Familiarity with Cerner order entry system and Omnicell automation is preferred

Additional Information:

• No sterile compounding responsibilities
• Remote training and onboarding will be provided by the local PIC and Pharmacy Director
