This opportunity is for a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a 503A Compounding Pharmacy with a focus on sterile and non-sterile compounding processes. This role demands a strong regulatory and operational leadership presence, ensuring total compliance and excellence in pharmacy practice within a dynamic facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless assigned otherwise
  • Acting as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and other regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring proper communication and reporting of operational or ownership changes, facility modifications, and PIC transitions
  • Overseeing sterile and non-sterile compounding operations to maintain quality and compliance
  • Leading quality assurance initiatives and supporting continuous process improvement
  • Supervising pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Managing daily batch record processes, verifying execution, and approval for production accuracy
  • Supporting scheduling to guarantee timely delivery, accurate inventory, and production capacity

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • Extensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> standards and relevant state/federal regulations for 503A compounding facilities
  • Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays if necessary

This position is based in West Chester, PA, with the contract term spanning 13 weeks and the opportunity for transition to a permanent role.
