This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a 503A Compounding Pharmacy with full responsibility for regulatory compliance and operational excellence. As the senior pharmacy leader, you will manage all aspects of sterile and non-sterile compounding, ensuring safe and efficient prescription fulfillment in alignment with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated PIC for multiple non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
- Act as the main liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, regulatory inspectors, auditors, and agencies.
- Oversee reporting for operational or facility changes and PIC transitions.
- Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Manage daily batch record preparation, review, and approval processes.
- Support production scheduling to promote timely delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance measures and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and applicable state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding pharmacy operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
